About Domenick Cover, M.D.
A native Floridian, Dr. Domenick Cover completed his training in Nephrology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He earned an undergraduate degree with honors in biomedical engineering at Tulane University in New Orleans. He continued at Tulane University for Medical School, followed by an internship and residency at the Alton Oschner Medical Foundation. An additional year was spent at the Oschner Foundation as Assistant Staff and Chief Medical Resident.
Dr. Cover has practiced nephrology in Sarasota since 1986. He has formerly served as Medical Director of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit. He is a past affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. A frequent lecturer on kidney disease and hypertension, he has been invited to speak to a variety of professional audiences. Dr. Cover is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology.
A father of three boys, he enjoys the many amenities of Sarasota and its nearby waters.
